Frequently asked questions

Downloading and installing

Nothing happens when I tap the download link in WeChat?

WeChat's built-in browser can't install apps directly. Tap “···” in the top-right corner, choose “Open in Browser”, and then download.

How do I install on iPhone? Which iOS version do I need?

Search for “拉途” on the App Store, or go to the Download page and scan the QR code or tap “Download on the App Store”. Requires iOS 16 or later. To try new features early, expand “Try the beta early” on the Download page and install the beta through Apple's official TestFlight app; each beta build can be used for 90 days.

Android says “Installing apps from unknown sources is blocked” or shows a risk warning?

This is Android's standard warning for installation packages that don't come from an app store. Follow the prompt to allow this installation. Some phones also run a security check; choose “Continue installation”. Requires Android 7.0 or later.

Signing in and your account

Not getting a verification code?

  • Check that your email or phone number is entered correctly. For phone numbers outside mainland China, make sure the country code is right.
  • For email codes, check your spam folder.
  • After 60 seconds, you can tap “Resend”. There's a limit on how many codes can be sent in a short time; if you see “Too many requests. Try again later”, wait a while and try again.
  • If you still don't get one, try signing in the other way (email / phone number), or email contact@qinovo.top.

Seeing “The code is incorrect or no longer valid”, “The code has expired”, or a too-many-attempts message?

Verification codes are valid only for a short time, and too many wrong attempts also make a code invalid. Tap “Resend” to get a new code and enter it again.

Do I need to sign up first?

No. Your account is created automatically the first time you sign in with a verification code.

Can I change my linked phone number or email?

Yes. Change it in “Profile → Account”; you'll need to verify the current one first. A linked phone number or email can't be unlinked, only changed. If the new phone number or email is already linked to another account, it can't be used.

How do I delete my account?

See Account deletion. After you submit the request, there's a 7-day cooling-off period, during which you can cancel by signing in the usual way.

Recording and uploading

Does recording continue when the screen is locked or I switch to another app?

Yes. On iPhone, the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen show the recording status; on Android, the notification bar shows “Recording”. After an interruption such as an incoming call ends, recording resumes automatically. See Screen lock, background, and calls.

Asked for microphone permission?

Tap “Settings” in the prompt and allow LATU to use the microphone in your system settings. If you see “The microphone is in use by another app”, end your call or close the app that's using the microphone first.

A recording didn't upload, or the upload failed?

Recordings are saved on your phone first and upload automatically when your network comes back or when you reopen LATU. You can also find the recording on the home screen and tap “Upload now”. If the card says “open LATU on the phone that recorded it and it will finish automatically”, the recording file is on another phone, so open LATU on that phone.

The app was closed. Is my recording still there?

Yes. As long as you haven't uninstalled LATU, unuploaded recordings stay on your phone. The home screen shows “N recordings weren't uploaded”, or you can go to “Profile → More settings → Recover unuploaded recordings” and upload them. See Recover unuploaded recordings.

What audio can I import?

m4a, mp3, wav, and aac files are supported, up to 500 MB each. On the home screen, tap “+” → “Import from Files”. See Import audio.

Transcripts and minutes

Seeing “No transcription content detected”?

This means no usable speech was recognized in the audio. Common causes are no sound during recording, being too far from the speakers, or a damaged audio file. Check the audio, then record or import it again.

Seeing “Not enough usable content was detected” and no minutes were generated?

If a recording is too short (for example, under 10 seconds) or has too little usable content, LATU won't generate minutes. This isn't an error; just record a more complete conversation.

Names and terms keep getting recognized incorrectly?

Add them to “Profile → Preferences & permissions → ASR dictionary”, and future transcripts will prioritize these words. See ASR dictionary. If a speaker was identified incorrectly, you can rename or merge speakers, or change the speaker of a single line.

Want minutes in a different format?

At the top of the “SI Minutes” tab, tap the template name to re-analyze with a different template. Every result is kept. You can also set a default template in “Profile → Recording & organizing → Summary template”. See SI Minutes and templates.

Where did “AI Minutes” and “Insights” go?

They've been renamed: “AI Minutes” is now “SI Minutes”, and the “Insights” tab in the recording details is now “SI Staff”. The former analysis assistants are now SI staff, which you can enable and manage under “SI Staff” at the bottom. The former “SOPHON assistant” is now Miss S. See SI staff and dispatching and Miss S assistant.

Home screen search finds recordings by title and tag; it doesn't search the text of transcripts or minutes. To find answers in what was said, ask Miss S. It searches your transcripts and minutes and cites its sources.

Where do action items and the schedule come from, and how do I confirm them?

Action items are pulled together by SI from your minutes. They only count once you've checked them and tapped “Confirm and save”, after which you can add them to your schedule in LATU in one tap. You can do this from “Action items” in the bottom-right corner of the recording details, or from the Miss S workbench on the home screen. See Action items and schedule.

iPhone playback shows “Preparing audio”?

For a recording that was just uploaded, the server is preparing audio that can play on iPhone. It's usually ready in a moment, and you don't need to do anything. If you see “Audio can't be played right now”, leave the details page and open it again.

What should I do if analysis fails?

Wait a bit, then re-analyze with another template. If it keeps failing, let us know through “Feedback” in the app and include the recording title.

AI recording card

Can't find the recording card?

  • Make sure the recording card is turned on and charged, and keep it as close to your phone as possible.
  • Make sure LATU is allowed to use Bluetooth. On Android, you need to allow “Nearby devices”; on Android 11 and earlier, you also need to allow location access.
  • Tap “Search again”.
  • Make sure you chose the right model: LATU A1 PRO currently supports iPhone only.

Seeing “This recording card is already bound to another account”?

A recording card can be bound to only one account at a time. Ask the owner of the original account to tap “Unbind” on the device page, or wait until the card is unbound automatically when that account is deleted, then bind it again.

The card is connected but won't record?

The recording card must be bound to your account before you can use it, and a card that isn't bound can't connect. Search again, tap “Connect”, and choose “Bind and connect”; or disconnect the card and record with the phone microphone instead. See Bind and connect.

Told the recording is incomplete?

If the connection drops while recording, the recording is still saved on the card. Tap “Sync”, or open “File transfer” on the device page, to retrieve and upload the full recording.

Miss S and SI staff

Out of questions for today, or not enough credits?

Your daily questions and Miss S credits depend on your plan, and questions reset the next day. You can check your credit balance on the “Profile” tab.

Where do I find the results after dispatching to SI staff?

Open that recording's details and switch to the “SI Staff” tab. “View progress” on the dispatch completion page takes you there too. See View the results.

Can't dispatch to a certain staff member?

You can't dispatch to a staff member who isn't enabled, has no skills checked, is currently working on this recording, or has already handled it. Tap “SI Staff” at the bottom, tap that staff member, turn on “Enable this staff member”, and check their skills. For one who has already handled the recording, just tap “View result”. See Roster.

Hold to talk isn't working?

Allow LATU to use the microphone in your system settings. You can't use voice input while recording with the phone microphone. If your device has no speech recognition service available, type instead.
