SI Minutes and templates
Once transcription is done, LATU automatically generates SI Minutes (previously called “AI Minutes”) using your default template, with nothing for you to do. When you open a recording's details page, it opens on the “SI Minutes” tab by default.
View the minutes
What the minutes contain depends on the template. For example, “General Meeting Minutes” includes Attendees, Meeting Summary, Keywords, Agenda, Chapters, To-dos, Risks & Mitigation, Q&A Summary, Speaker Summaries, Notable Quotes, a Mind Map, and more.
- Full screen: Tap the expand icon in the top-right corner of the minutes to open the “Full analysis report”.
- While generating: You'll see “Generating minutes, chapters, and insights”. The page refreshes automatically when it's done, and LATU also sends you a message.
- Action items: Action items pulled from the minutes are confirmed and managed under “Action items” in the bottom-right corner. See Action items and schedule.
Attendees follow the speakers
The “Attendees” in the minutes follow the speaker list in the transcript. If you rename a speaker or change their role, merge speakers, or change the speaker of a line in “Transcription”, the attendees in the minutes update automatically, with no need to re-analyze. This also applies to minutes generated earlier and to share pages. See Transcripts and speakers.
Re-analyze with another template
You can analyze the same recording again with a different template, and every result is kept.
Re-analyze with another template
Step 1 of 6 · The pill at the top left of “SI Minutes” shows the template used (here “General Meeting Minutes”). Tap it.
The demo plays automatically. You can also tap the glowing spot on the phone, pick a step above, or use the left and right arrow keys.
- At the top of the “SI Minutes” tab, tap the current template name.
- In “Re-analyze with another template”, find the template you want by category (meetings, interviews, legal, medical, customers, and more). You can tap the eye icon first to “Preview template” and see what it produces with sample content.
- Select a template, then tap “Analyze with this template”. You'll see “Analysis submitted, it refreshes automatically”, and once it's done, the minutes switch to the new template's result.
- Each template analyzes a recording only once. Templates that have already been used show “Analyzed” and can't be selected again.
- Only one analysis can run on a recording at a time. While it's running, the home screen card shows “Re-analyzing”.
Analysis history
Tap “History N” on the right at the top of the “SI Minutes” tab to see every analysis of this recording (template name, status, and time). Tap any one to view it. Exporting the summary and sharing a link then use the one you're currently viewing by default.
Set a default template
Go to “Profile → Recording & organizing → Summary template”, find a template by category (you can preview it), select it, and tap “Set as default”. From then on, minutes for new recordings are generated with this template automatically; existing minutes aren't affected. To go back, choose “Use system default”.
LATU comes with about 50 built-in templates for different scenarios, covering meetings, customers and sales, job interviews and other interviews, legal, medical, training and workshops, and more. You can also use the “Template” filter on the home screen to find recordings analyzed with a particular template. See Filters.
What language the minutes use
Minutes are generated in the main language spoken in the recording, not the app language: a recording mostly in English gets English minutes. A few templates always output in a specific language.
When there's too little content
If a recording is too short (for example, under 10 seconds) or has too little usable content, LATU won't generate minutes and will tell you that not enough usable content was detected. This isn't an error; just record something more complete.
Want a more specialized analysis?
Minutes answer “what was said in the meeting”. To find out “how well did the meeting go” or “how well were this client's needs addressed”, dispatch the recording to SI staff. They analyze it again using their own skills, and the results appear in the “SI Staff” tab without replacing the SI Minutes.
